Templeton Place II
People’s Self-Help Housing hosted the grand opening of the latest affordable housing complex, Templeton Place II, on Monday, July 17, 2023. The complex consists of 36 units that serve seniors and veterans, with 10 units permanently set aside for formerly homeless veterans and is located off of Peterson Ranch Road in Templeton.
Funding for this development was provided by SLO County HTF and many partners in SLO County that are committed to providing low-income housing for seniors, veterans and low to very-low income individuals and families.
The property consists of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, which feature an oven, refrigerator, heating, air conditioning, and an emergency call system. Other onsite amenities include a furnished community room, property management, free supportive housing services, community gardens, accessible design and numerous outdoor spaces.
The project was funded through state tax credit programs and support from funding partners including the county of San Luis Obispo, Merritt Community Capital Corp., the Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo, NeighborWorks America, the Federal Home Loan Bank, the San Luis Obispo County Housing Trust Fund, Pacific Western Bank, and the California Department of Housing and Community Development.
