Joel Snyder
Joel was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin and attended the University of Minnesota where he received a B.A in Architecture. He began his career in architecture in Minneapolis before moving to Seattle and eventually coming to live in San Luis Obispo in the early 2000’s where he now raises his son and daughter.
In 2014, Joel co-founded Ten Over Studio Inc., a multi-disciplinary architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design firm in San Luis Obispo, CA and Bend, OR. His personal passion for affordable housing has led to Ten Over’s role as a progressive leader in the design and entitlement of thousands of affordable units throughout California and the Pacific Northwest for a variety of private and non-profit affordable housing developers.
Joel highly values sustainability and community. Ten Over Studio is a registered B-Corp, which requires the commitment of a portion of the company’s profits to people and the planet.
